Creatine Position Statements
I have initiated this project in an effort to develop a consice list of current beliefs adn positions regarding the use of creatine, specifically by high school students. I did some research looking for studies on the effects of creatine supplementation. Very little good work is available. I did find this 2001 Study that did a fairly good job. This is an interesting video about increasing physical activity in little ways in our daily lives. Another interesting way to get moving, for parents, is to put their baby in a baby backpack and go for a walk, walk around in the store, or while doing activities around the house.

I am certainly looking into Physical Therapy programs to which I can continue my education and for over 12 years, I have had back pain which has led me to physical therapists and chiropractors. One of my physical therapists told me to research websites about back pain so that I could understand my symptoms and the recovery process better, and hopefully help me find ways to reduce my back pain every day. Here are a few websites that I have found that either helped me understand why I have back pain or gave me ways of reducing it.

My mission statement is “to work hard at accomplishing the goals I set for myself and over coming difficulties without losing the sense of pleasure/enjoyment along the way”. I don’t want to become so overwhelmed with accomplishing my goals that I don’t have fun doing it any more.
Coaching Dedication/Pay.
Coaching is fun, rewarding, and a way of life. When it comes to coaching high school athletes there is alot of road bumps to go over to accomplish goals. The biggest road bump is parents, dedication of youth, attitudes and budget. Budget????? A local school in Eastern Oregon where I have coached going on 9 years is no longer paying their coaches a salary. It is all volunteer, no gas reimbursement, just keep coaching like you are getting paid. I love to coach and if you are a coach at the high school level its definitely not for the money, its because of the love for the sport. The school did not go about the best way of telling all of its coaching staff about the cuts. We all heard from the mouths of coaches and we had to call and confirm on our own. Read more »
Scholary Sources!!
Scholarly source can come in any shape or form. My scholarly source use to be the library. The library is an older days source since the internet is easier, but it has alot of information that could be needed. With the fast moving internet that is a fats resource finder is probably the biggest machine to use for information about anything. Scholarly sources that are good are people in person, teachers being my number one source if I didn't have access to the interent.

Media Sharing
For one I am not that computer technical. For the media sharing I have actually used a picture slideshow, creating a powerpoint in a few of my other education classes as well as creating a slideshow for my sisters bridal shower. Using powerpoint and creating a slideshow I feel is a good way to share media because it enables to add text if you have the desire to do so.
Document Sharing
The documents that I normally use when writing a paper or any other type of work I usually just use plain text. I use plain text because that is what I am most comfortable with. If I will be emailing a document to someone I will normally attach the file into the email and send it on its way. The otehr type of document that I do like and beginning to use more often is a PDF document. I have read and received many emails and or documents that are set up in PDF and I find they are easy to navigate.

- Continue being a positive role model, teacher and mentor to my future students as well as the children I work with as a 4-H leader.
- Continue being involved in the youth 4-H program as a leader.
- To be a great parent, as my parents were and still are to my sister and myself
- Continue having the wonderful relationship with my family and friends. They all mean to world to me.
- To travel to Hawaii and Australia
- Maintain my relationship with God, even though I don't agree with somethings that have happened in my life.
- Take a cruise.
- Be successful and happy in life.

I think this class and the research involved has helped me realize that I have an interest in following the excercise science path. Part of what drew me into this field was my own weight loss story, I want to get into coaching, but I think I want to get more into the stregnth and conditioning coaching.

Motivational Speaker Milton Creagh
Milton came to La Grande and Union County a few years ago, he was an amazing speaker to listen too and caught the audiences attention. I work at a Juvenile Center and we didn't have alot of money to spend on Speakers. We contacted Milton when he was in La Grande to come to our facility. He cames because he feels incacerated youth he has the biggest impact on. He really makes a person realize that life is great no matter where you are, but when you need help get it, and when its time to get out, get out. I got involved in a Marketing Network business about 3 months ago. The business is called Nu-skin. Nu-Skin is a company that has been around for over 25 years. It is the only Network Marketing Company that sells on the New York Stoch Exchange. The spa came out in Nu-Skin about 7 years ago. The spa is a hand held machine about the size of a cell phone that sends negative and positive currents into the skin. This product re structures the loss of elastin fibers in the face tha causes wrinkles. ASEP
At the high school where I coach, all coaches whether they are head, assistant, or volunteer have to be ASEP coaching certified. It wasn't tough to get certified but there was a lot of information. If anyone is interested in taking the test or getting information for it, here is the ASEP website.

FINAL
I just finished my Final for PES 131, I did not do as well as I hoped because I believe I did not take enough time on the questions.
For those of you who have not taken the exam yet, I suggest that you take your time and really look at the question. There is allot of abbreviations in the exam, and if you do not take time to look at them like I did you might end up like me and not be happy with your score.
