The Basics of a Class

Here are the basic constructs of a class:

  1. Group: Each "group," or class, has a main page that serves as a hub for all activity and information. A group is a community of learners that focuses on class content and presents work and dialog related to this.
  2. Learning Guide: The "learning guide" contains all of the basic information needed to be successful in a class. This is linked from the menu on group page. The Plan section lists objectives and timeline of activity. The Know section lists the topics for reading. The Apply section has information about work to submit.
  3. Testing and grading takes place on a separate system, that requires a separate login.

Within this framework, successful students will adhere to one single premise

If you examine and understand the content of the class in depth and you present quality work throughout the term that represents this, you will do well in the class.
