My plan and action....

The hardest question in the world must be, "What do you want to be when you grow up?"  What a great encouragement to map it all out!

Personal plan:

Mission statement:  To help others on an individual basis to encourage and educate them how to get healthy and stay healthy with the goal of living their life to the fullest and being released from their pain and sickness to do so.

Specific long-term goals:  Be in a career that is dynamically helping people with their health and make strides to incorporate more than their physical health.  Always learn new things to help others.

Specific short-term goals:  Finish a BS in Physical Activity and Health with a Health and Wellness concentration and look at employment opportunities.

Sports and music can both be used to help people. You seem to have a background in both. You listed your background and accomplishments very well. I imagine there are a lot of schools where a combination of health and music would be very valuable.

Thanks for your insight! My cousin is studying music therapy and I've looked into it a little, too. Music can be so healing, freeing, and provide balance and fun in life. All of those can be components of getting and staying healthy, too! Although I may not formally study the correlations, it is definitely a worthwhile subject. :-)

Wow Lisa, you've got quite the resume. Great job mapping out all your courses as you have in preparation for graduation. Coming in my freshman year I didn't really have this advantage and just sort of followed the advice of my adviser, which proved not to turn out so well. It's my senior year and I'm having to go back and take freshman level courses to complete my degree. Stick to your plan, it will serve you well :)

Thank you, Chelsea! I'm sorry that mapping didn't work out for you.... At least you're finishing soon! Congratulations!

I'll be done after winter term this year! Thank you :)
