Vitamin C
Since the cold and flu season is in full swing, I thought I would remind you about vitamin C to help you stay healthy! Here's a link to some great information (see the section on the common cold) about many maladies that vitamin C has been studied to help, prevent, or overall keep your system built up! http://lpi.oregonstate.edu/infocenter/vitamins/vitaminC/

There have been nutrition studies going on for a very long time. I find it interesting that the British Navy in the 1700's discovered that fruits would help prevent their sailors from developing scurvy. That was pretty smart. I am a firm beliver in the benefits of vitamin C. I rarely get colds when I drink orange juice on a daily basis.
That's awesome! I don't get colds and flus if I take vitamin C either! (It seems like a miracle- I used to catch everything!) I've always thought it was interesting that it was first studied in sailors and when fruits were added back into their diet, scurvy just went away!
