Julia, I wish you best of luck with your goal. How did you chose the South Beach Diet? How much weight loss is your goal?
I did a quick websearch on strength testing and found these websites:
http://www.brianmac.co.uk/coretest.htm
http://www.coachr.org/strength_assessment.htm
http://www.sport-fitness-advisor.com/strength...
Best wishes! Patty
julia. I found a link under fitness testing called topendsports there you will find muscular strength tests you can do at home and they are simple!
Thanks Debra, I want to do mine at home too.
I will check those web sites. Well, to answer your question, I wish to loose 55lbs. Since I left the Navy in 2006 I have gained soooo much weight. Now I look back and think, how in the heck did I let this happen? While in the military, I met a gal who had made a huge transformation on the South Beach Diet. So, I remembered that and thought I would give it a chance.
Have you considered the "Biggest Loser" eating plan? I am pregnant so I can't start it right away but it seems great in the way that you are not cutting out any food group (except avoiding everything that I love ex. pasta, cookies ect.) and mostly you just load up on vegetables and fruits. If you type in biggest loser diet plan their are some examples. I have talked to people who did the south beach diet and loved it! But I think this one is worth looking in to because I heard it is easier to stay on : )
Well best of Luck!
