Mission Statement
In creating my mission statement I thought of family, and spoke with my parents. From talking with them I found that sometimes we don’t actually pay attention to life as it flies by so quickly. With this in mind, I created my life’s mission statement and some short and long term goals.
I will strive to not lose sight of the real meaning of my life, the intangible vs tangible. I will be a solid role model for my kids by participating in life while learning, growing, exploring, and not merely doing.
Short term goals:
Graduate Spring 2010, Liberal Studies business/health promotion
Support my kids in any endeavor
Spring 2011 begin Physical Therapy Assistant program
Long term goals:
Spring 2013 Graduate from PTA program, find the right job
Spring 2013 Make sure my Daughter graduates from HS
Spring 2017 Make sure my Son graduates from HS
Purchase a home not a house
Make my life fulfilling by living in the place where I belong, doing the things I enjoy and being with the people I love.

Wow Donnie... I like that you provided some insight to what led you to your mission statement! Nice work! It makes it much more personal. Your last comment left me wondering... Where is it that you believe you belong? What are the things that you enjoy? Lastly, who are the people you love that you intend to enjoy spending time with?
It may be helpful to spell out the last sentence of your goals in a more specific way in order to make them more attainable/measurable.
Best of luck to you Donnie!
