My Diet and Exercise Plan
My Diet
I have been studying diets for the past two weeks and finally decided on the one that I will do. I am going to do the perfect ten diet. It starts out with an induction phase which is similar to low carb diets with the exception of process foods, red meat and fats. These are eliminated in the diet. The idea of the diet is to balance the hormones you naturally have with healthy foods that either compliment your natural production, stimulates it when necessary or reduces. After the brief induction phase you gradually add fruits and whole grains to balance your diet. Eating a balance diet is extremely important to me, as is not feeling hungry.
I am premenopausal so this diet is very interesting to me. I have to take medication to regulate my hormones or I have panic attacks. For women whom are reading this because of my lack of estrogen (or lower level) I have the chemical sensation of what you feel when say a deer runs in front of your car. Without medication I feel this sensation over and over, along with the lovely feeling that someone is sticking needles in my eyeballs! I would like to get off my medication and am hoping this diet will help me do so.
I am 6ft tall and I weigh 180lbs. My ideal weight is 165 so I would like to lose 15 pounds.
My physical activity
I have always been physically active. I raise hunting dogs and I take my dogs for a brisk walk daily. I will continue to do this but I have bought a pedometer to mark how fast I walk and how far. I am a huge fan of Bob Greene’s “Get with the program” the Oprah diet and exercise plan. In his program he discusses at length about working out in the zone. I will make certain that I will walk in the zone to get the maximum from my walk.
I received a Wii fit plus for Christmas and on it they have strength training exercises. I will do the strength building and toning exercises outlined in their Yoga sessions at least three times a week with a goal to build up to five times a week.
I did the strength testing and I have good strength but I need to improve my balance with can be done with the toning and stretching function of the Wii fit yoga.
I hope my plan is met with approval from my classmates and professor.
Sincerely, Patty Wehrli

I was reading your post and read that you raise hunting dogs. What kind of dogs do you raise? Also, I have a Garmin GPS Run Meter, I recommend getting one in the future, not only does it map out your route it calculates averages, rest time and shows the terrain. It is a very nice tool the more you workout.
I raise German Shorthaired Pointers. I'm not really into the breeding aspect anymore so I don't feel shameless plugging my doggers my website is www.awesomegsps.com :) Thanks for the tip on the GPS, it would have been really handy back in my hayday as a guide! Now I just plug along (as quick as possible mind you) and let the dogs lead the way.
Best wishes, Patty
