Great job on this Noelle! It seems like you have all your bases covered and did a great job of thinking through everything! All your attachments look great! Are you really putting on this camp?

Nice work, looks like you did a lot to set up all the aspects of this. I like how you have a separate waiver from the registration. Before you would give the waiver out, would you have a legal council check it?

I could have a legal council check it, however, I actually got the waiver from Reardan School District and it is one they frequently use for events such as this therefore I am under the assumption that as a school district they would have already gone through the proper channels to ensure its legitamacy. Also, because there will be a district employee present for the entire camp this takes some of the possible liablilty issues off my shoulders.

And I hope to put on this camp! As long as my schedule allows I would love too!

Great job Noelle. This proposal and presentation was done very well. I really like how you attached all of the aspects for the camp such as the shirt template and camp brochure. Also, I believe this would be an awesome camp to put on, it looks very efficient and organized and I’m sure would be a great success!

Noelle, I thought you did an excellent job of covering every aspect of this proposal. One thing that concerns me is public school district releasing information about girls entering 5th to 8th grade. I know that my school district wouldn't release that information as there are privacy issues being crossed. You may want to consider some other avenue of getting the word out to the community.
I'm also wondering if you've looked into sponsors? For example, volleyball companies will and have donated equipment to camps as it is a great tax write-off for them, provides free advertising.

These camps are great and athletic programs really benefit from having them. The town I am from has been establishing a great youth program for volleyball and it has created a program that has won either 3 or 4 state championships in a row.. cant remember exactly, but it came from these kind of camps.

Have you considered having a 'special guest' come on one day of your camp? The special guest could be a coach from a local college coming talk about playing at the college level and teach some techniques,or even an insprirational speaker who could talk about physical fitness and benefits of camps such as this? Just a suggestion!

I thought you did an excellent job with the presentation as well as the written agenda. I really liked the camp slogan. It really jumped out at me. I thought you did well with covering all areas, and it seems like the camp would be a success.

Thanks for the feedback Rosette, and about the releasing of information, I could definitely consider other avenues and may actually do so. I think that possibly because a school official is part of the camp might possibly be the reason why I could receive a list of only the girls names and addresses. However, when it actually comes down to doing this I may find I am unable to do so due to the reasons you stated. I will have to look further into this!

And no I did not consider sponsors for this camp. I very well could, the main reason I didnt is because I was not worried about making much profit from the camp because the profits would simply cover the cost and give each coach some extra pocket money. If I decided to make the camp a fundraiser for the middle school and high school volleyball teams then I think I would consider sponsors. That is basically why I did not include any sponsors as a part of this camp. However if the camp were to run for multiple years I would most certainly consider adding them in!

And Chelsea,I actually would love to have a special guest! I will have to get the search underway to find a perfect match for one! I think it would add another great aspect to the camp and potentially bring in more campers!

Great research on area schools that hold this same type of event. I love that this is geared towards girls in the community because 2 of the 3 sports that you listed as being a focus in Reardon were primarily male dominated (football/wrestling) although I am sure girls could compete if they pressed the issue. It will be great to see more girls getting into sports earlier especially in a small community. Good luck with the camp!
