Great detail in your plan and I like how you included your transitions to different activities. In the rhythm sticks game there is quite a bit to remember. Will you be leading activities and counting out the 'counts' to assist? Great job, I'd like to see this in practice.
This is one of the best lesson plans I have seen!!! Very well organinzed and has great objectives and learning motives. It is very detailed would be easy for a substitute teacher to follow. I am very impressed! Have you used this in your class yet?
Thanks Shaylee! Yes, I did it today. It went really well!
The "Rhythm Sticks to a Song" activity took longer so I gave the students a choice of if they wanted to the Hokey Pokey again (we did it last week) and the "Whistle Stop" activity. They chose the NEW activity so we cut the Hokey Pokey and ended with that.
With the Rhythm sticks I spent a good hour this morning practicing it so I knew the routine. Led the routine and counted to an 8 count throughout the whole song (which, not gonna lie, was TIRING!)
The kids did great! I made sure to really affirm their good behavior. It was fun!
Nice Work! The detail and the transitions from activity to activity is excellent! We all much to learn after looking at the time and detail you have put into your lesson plan. I have never heard of "Dead Ant Tag" I love it and I enjoyed how you work with beat in almost every activity great theme.
