Disc Sports Unit Plan
I have started a 'work-in-progress' unit plan for disc sports that I will be adding to in the coming days. The unit plan is for 5th graders that will begin with the basics of throwing/catching a disc (Frisbee), and then building these skills into teaching students disc golf and ultimate Frisbee. Disc golf will be introduced first, as this sport will give the students a fun way to practice throwing a Frisbee for both accuracy and distance. Ultimate Frisbee will be taught next, as it enhances the skills required for throwing a Frisbee and adds the different methods for catching a Frisbee into mix.
