Website for Eastern Oregon Volleyball Club~ Noelle Carstens & Melinda Becker

Noelle and I wanted to shared with you a webiste which was created this year  for the Eastern Oregon Volleyball Club.  Noelle and I are both coaching for the club teams.  The club director, Emily, Noelle and I decided it would be much easier to communicate with players and parents through a website and our own email.  To create the website, the club director , Emily, worked with a local FBLA chapter at the school she teaches at to help us desigin the site.  The FBLA chapter has created several websites so they were a very valuable resource.  All three of us gave input and the FBLA chapter helped us generate the website.  Of course, Noelle and I are not taking full credit for the site simply because it was a group effort.  It is also still a work in progress. We plan on adding a calendar and pictures of our teams.  The website is www.easternoregonvbc.sports.officelive.com Check it out! Thank you to the FBLA chapter who guided us through the process.  This will be a tremendous help for our club.

Noelle & Melinda,

Nice work on the website. I found this quite useful, especially the schedule as I intend to watch a bit of your club team's volleyball action because I have a cousin playing. I'm sure parents will find this equally helpful!

Well done with the site.

Currently the link isn't work if clicked from this post. I was able to view it by modifying the address that it sends you to (or by copy and paste of the address). This is a very small but important point when sharing website links: do not include a period at the end. At the very least, include a space before the period. Even though this isn't grammatically correct, it will get the job done. Link converts (like in word processors, this site, and other sites) will take everything that is attached to the address you type. In this case, it includes the period at the end, which isn't meant to be part of the address. You can change this yourself by editing the post and either putting a space before the period or just highlighting the website address and manually creating the link using the link button at the top of the text editor. This minor step will help save your audience from an inconvenience when you are sharing website links in various venues.

Thanks for the hint. I made the correction to the website. Hopefully the audience will be able to access the site now.

Thanks!

The link still isn't working. :(

That's a great web site though! It's very clean cut and well put together! Very informative. Great job ladies!

Nice job. The link is working fine now.

I like this idea. This helps to get more people aware of clubs that are offered. The site opened right up and I had no problems going to each link. Easy simple format.

Knowing Emily, as well as the FBLA chapter who helped you design this website, I knew you guys would have quality work, as I have seen other websites they have helped design. This is very impressive, as well as useful to your club as a way to communicate with players, other coaches, parents, and even potential players. Good work to all it’s a great website and the link is working perfectly for access.

Great job on the setup of the site. It is very user friendly and easy to navigate and will be a valuable resource for the community and family members of the club players.

This is a great idea on how to organize a club. The website is clean and easy to use which makes it very effective. Nice work.

Great job on the website. I like that it's easy to use.
