Jogo da Macaca - Portuguese traditional game
Here is a video of a Portuguese traditional game that kids love to do. The rules are simple, and it is a fun game! I wonder if in the US kids also play this game. Anyway, here is the video.

It's called Hopscotch and is popular here too! :) How does Jogo da Macaca translate?
Interesting! I didn´t know this was a popular game in America. I played it once with the kids im teaching, they love it. The translation for it is: JOGO means GAME and MACACA means MONKEY! It sounds silly, but pretty much it´s called the Monkey Game! I have a couple more games i use to play with them, i´m just waiting to teach on friday so i can edit the video and attach it to my lesson plans so you guys can take a look at it! =)
I have never really understood hopscotch but this video and your info Angela is very interesting. I thought this was only a game, that was played in USA. Thanks for enlightening us.
