Central Elementary Teaching Week 8
Tuesday I had to teach a class for Kimmy because she was out of town. Kimmy wrote me a lesson plan that consisted of 3 tag games. When I told the kids we were going to play tag, they were all super excited. I changed the games that we played a little, because we had played 2 of the games before, so I decided to change the games to Red Light Green Light, Freeze Tag, and we did Line Tag as well. Their teacher loved this, because they were running so much and she encourages us to get them tired. I heard a few days later that the school doesn't allow the kids to chase other kids, such as tag games, but I hadn't been told any of those rules, nor had our teacher or advisor told us that we weren't allowed to play tag games. I assuming that this is just for recess, where the kids are not allowed to play tag games, or at least I hope. Overall went well, and our last lesson will be on Tuesday, and we are going to play parachute games, which I always love to do, and I hoping that the kids will love it just as much!

When reading the lesson plain that you portrayed it seems to me that you must find out the information before playing a certain game that kids perhaps can get hurt or can cause you to get in to trouble. Another reason why they prevent them from playing outside during recess is because it’s on a hard surface and its can be very dangerous. That’s why since they allowed you to teach the tagging game indoors it would be a whole lot safer. Over all the game was productive and interesting the kids must have been tired and worn out.
The kids loved the games. Their teacher told us at the very beginning "make them run and do as much tiring activity as possible!" She always wants us to wear them out so that they aren't so crazy in class. I think it works really well :)
