2010 Track Indoor Nationals

Last week I was gone competing in the indoor track NAIA National championships in Johnson City Tennessee. Your Eastern Oregon Mounties had a very successful trip! Here are the results:

Jeff Roy-- Ended up bring home a 3rd place in the 1000m, making him a ALL AMERICAN, and also making him our new school record holder! His time was 2:27.05

Chris Dilly-- brought home a 3rd place in the weight, also making him a ALL AMERICAN

Alma Garcilazo-- Finished 4th overall in the 800m with a time of 2:15.87 also becoming a ALL AMERICAN

Ryan Booth-- Raced very hard in the 800m and ended up finishing 7th overall

Dustin Cloud-- completed his second ever multi-event and ended up 9th overall having PR in every event

Kimmy Moore-- ended up 15th overall in the multi-event. She was ranked 6th coming into the meet, but had a no height in the high jump and she couldn't recover from that but had a very solid meet aside form that! with a big PR in the shot put

Mitch wheelhouse-- ended up 14th overall in the weight and threw very well

The 4 by 400m relay ran very tough ending up 8th overall and coming into the meet ranked 12th. They ran a 4 second PR and set a new school record. Their time was 3:56 and the team members were: Milesa Abesa, grace Deboodt, Orie Gamez, and Alma Garcilazo

We had a really great meet! If you see any of the all americans around let them know how proud of them you are!

Thanks,

Orie

Orie congrats on the successfull nationals trip! Thanks for the results here, I looked at the EOU athletic page, and it said we had 3 All-American but only listed Jeff and Alma and didn't really tell any results other than that so I have been wondering.

Congratulations on a successful trip!

Congrats! Sounds like you all did well.

Nice job, team!

Orie, Thank-you for posting this. Nice job everyone. I will add on my own behaf that I was also gone. Attending the World Masters Indoor Track and Field Championships in Kamloops, BC last week. I competed in the pentathlon, 800m, and 4x200m and placed 4th, 2nd, and 3rd, in the same order.

Thank you everyone! Also Carla I am really sorry for not posting your results! I knew that you did very well....but I didn't know your final results so I didn't post them! But I am very proud of you :)

Congratulations, I used to run track at Eastern in '96 and they didn't have indoor like they do now. It would have been awesome to have this back in my day :)
