Off season Skill building
Along with players working on their techniques, speed and weightlifting this is more of a team skill building. Over the summer it is important that you get your team into some sort of full contact football camp. Most of them are offered around late June early August. It is important to take your team to a camp like this because the offseason is a long time without playing. It is a great time to get the players back into their playbooks and work out the kinks that the team suffered from the previous year. That way when pre-season starts you are ready to roll on all cylinders. Another great oppurtunity for the skill players on offense and defense is 7 on 7 passing league. This is a time when the defense can work on their pass coverage and the offense can perfect their air attack. Just once or twice a week for a month in the summer get together with some of the surrounding schools and play. The size of the school does not matter it is for practice purposes. Make sure there are a few volunteers to officiate so things seem game like. Whatever you do don't play teams that are in your league. These are very simple ideas that will make your team much more prepaired for the upcoming season. Your athletic director should know how to get a hold of other schools and camps.

I like those summer skill building ideas my high school football team had a big camp that we went to every year, all the surrounding school participate in, but you never played anyone in your league they host sets it up so you play big or small school that are not in your league
to make this post better you could of cited a book or magazine that talks about the importance of football camp in the off-sason or go into more detail about 7 on 7 passing league.
