Observe a Practice
Watch a complete practice and then provide reflection dialog about the practice.
The practice that I watched was my local college basketball team. The beginning of the practice was like any ordinary practice were the athletes ware just shooting around talking to one another before the actually practice started. When practice finally started the leader or captain got everyone organized and they begin to stretch. After stretching, like all sports they warmed up the muscles that they were going to use within their practice. After starching they begin to do shooting and lay up drills. Everything seem to be normal in till the head coach walked in yelling and screaming he was upset that they lost their last game and he felt that the players did not play to their full potentially. He ran he’s players the majority of the practice degraded his players and treating there playing time and scholarships. From watching this coach react the way he did I quickly came to an understanding that this coach truly put his reputation, coaching job, and wining before anything, and also came to the understanding that what everyone was saying is true although it may not be everyone many coaches in the college and professional level put winning first and see athletics as a tool to make money rather than a actual person with feelings. Also from watching them practice I’ve come to an conclusion if college sports is all about wining then I might what to stick to high school or lower, as my views and on coaching is the total opposite of the way this coach was coaching.
