The Bunny Hop and Duck Dance Lesson
I have taught my "Bunny Hop" and "Duck Dance" lesson to my group of students last week. It didn't go as planned, once again. Unfortunately, I had to change the time of day I taught the lesson. before I taught after school, but this time it was before school. Half my students did not show, because the parents were running late. The teacher who was supposed to observe me was ill and asked if another teacher could observe me. The other teacher happened to be my mother. They figured she would be tougher on me than anyone else. I was correct in that theory.
I thought the students would be coordinated enough to follow the steps of the dance, but I was wrong. Two of the students were 1st graders, and they could not distinguish the difference between their right and left feet. I had to model and model the steps, but when they actually started to dance they still could not remember which was right or left. Overall, that was ok with me. They had fun and were active throughout the lesson. It goes to show, no matter how much a person plans, it may not turn out the way you want.
