This is an awesome lesson plan! I definitly think it is age appropriate, and the students will have a great time with it! I especially like the warm up and how you have included landing the planes on their stomachs, what a great idea! I also think that using the stickers is a great way to make things simple and easy for first graders. Overall this is a great lesson, and it will definitly get the idea of Orienteering out to youngsters!
I really liked reviewing your lesson. I appreciate how you put references from different sources on your post. This is a great lesson which would be a great experience for your students. I would agree with Noelle, your warm up game is age appropriate and sounds like a lot of fun.
