Diet and nutrition websites
I am a member of our company's Health and Wellness Committee. One of the programs that we have is a weight loss challenge that usually lasts approximately 3 months. It works like this: A person pays $1 to join and $1 a week to weigh in. Then if the person gains any weight, they must pay $1 a pound. At the end of the 3 month period, the top male and female 'losers' split the pot of money collected. One of the biggest issues I have trying to motivate people is finding an easy and FREE way for them to track calories in and calories out, whether it is through a website or a exercise and meal log. If anyone has any websites that they have used or any attachments that I would be able to print off and hand out to my participants, please attach or revise. A brief description of the website or handout would also be greatly appreciated. I will add a few that I know of and have used.
livestrong.com - has the ability to track calories in & out and set goals for weight loss and tell you how many calories are needed to meet your goal. I have used it extensively.
