My god, it seems like you had a very devastating term. I am also extremely sorry about you kid as well as the severity of the fires around your ranch. I wish you the best on those of those. As you most likely already know, there are unpredictable as well as an infinite number of situations and things that can erupt to the surface of our lives. Often times, these things can happen within a few hours or even over night. There will always have to be continuous adjustments within goals set. This is because in order for a goal to be a goal, the projection is in the future. Since we cannot predict the future, we are approaching a blind corner. Our hopes are that nothing will come up and our goal achievement will be a smooth process, but obviously as mentioned, that is not the case. When two events occur as they did within your life, sacrifice for some of those initial goals may have to be made in order to recover and get back on the path of those goals. In your case you had no time for exercise or wellness but also take into consideration of what caused this. Your family and your ranch. Your new goal now is to not allow these to affect your self-efficacy with your exercise and wellness gaol and recover. By recovering your strength and confidence will grow. I wish you the best of luck. Keep fighting.

Motivation is closely linked to Locus of Control, as it is found from within. People who feel they have control over most aspects in their lives have an Internal Locus of Control. These people are healthier and generally have an easier time adapting to healthier lifestyles. Hoeger & Hoeger (2009) states "Knowledge often determines goals, and goals determine motivation. How badly you want something dictates how hard you'll work at it." (p.44)

Thank you Jamie, you are a wise and considerate person. No wonder you are successful while following your own goals. Your insight is amazing, a talent which I have noticed you use often. You are right, we sometimes have to take a turn around a blind corner and what we find is not how we perceived it to be. It is our ability to create new goals that makes us strong.

Most of the gym teachers in my school is not skinny. They do not have a problem giving instructions and conducting their gym curriculum. I have tried to get out of the mentality that gym teachers should be slim. I am responsible for the JROTC Raider Team. We are a cometitive team that competes in the 8 mile run, 2 mile run, sit ups, pull ups, push ups, basketball throw. I condition and run with them. I motivate them and they motivate me. They say they do not want to be slower that the old lady and that their numbers will not go below mine. Age is just a number. I wish you all the best. I hope your son gets better and everything works out great.
