Comments

I liked the set up and plans in your lesson. I really wish that I could teach some of my school kids to swim. A pool is not something that we have locally (public) for the children. I used to be a lifeguard and teach swim lessons. I think that those kids would have liked those activities.

Hi Laurie,
I like the set up of your lesson, but I think that it could use a little more detail. I think that you could go into detail about each game. List the rules and the cues so that if someone had to fill in for your lesson he/she would know what the games were and how they would run. You could also add a little more detail for each of your new skills. list a few of the things you are going to cover for each added skill or at least add in a few cues, this way it keeps you focused as an instructor. Other than that I think that this is a good plan and I feel your students will learn well.
Thanks

Kayla,

Thanks for your feedback. This is actually only a block plan which is designed as a general overview of the entire unit. I will be submitting a lesson plan for each day which will do exactly what you are saying. It will take each lesson and break down exactly what we will be doing along with how long it will take for each thing and what equipment will be needed as well as how the class will be performing the task. So, you are right that this is not as detailed but it is because it is not designed to be, the lesson plan will take care of the details.

Again, thanks for your insightful comments.
