The last revision and comment were Beth's, not mine. Somehow it got changed in the log.

I changed the format from Week 1, Week 2, etc. to Lesson 1, lesson 2. This way if you meet with your classes more than once a week, you can keep track of the lesson number. If you meet with your class 3x a week (that would be a dream come true) then you'd be through the first 3 lessons in the first week! I only see my classes once a week, so it will take me a month to go through all of the lessons we wrote. I changed the number on each station to reflect the lesson # and the station number. 4.3 means lesson 4, 3rd station. I used italicized word to indicate instructional cues as opposed to direct cues. In some instances in the first two lessons, instructional cues were not relevant because a sport skill was not being taught. Instead behavior and safety cues were empahasized.

I just added some of the formatting that was lost in transit. Sorry about that, Prof. Sather. Hope you didn't have to spend too much time cleaning up the Word formatting. I tried typing directly onto the site but lost my work too many times on the collaboration to trust it, so I did cut and paste.

Rosette -I think the last thing to do is add station 3 on week 4. I did a cooperative game for week 3. I also have to go back and fix formatting to make it consistent throughout and add CA standards.

Can't figure out why the font size varies within doc....

Aug 4 2009 - 9:54pm by Beth Judge

Rosette - it made sense to me to add my station 2 activity for week 3 after your station 1 activity for week 3....(as opposed to putting all my lessons at the end). Is that cool? I still need to go back and add the CA standards into my portion So we need another station for week 3. A cardio game? a cooperative game? muscular strength like resistance bands? what do you think? Also, are we stopping at week 4? Let me know if you want me to make changes or if you have questions or concerns. Thanks. Good team work!

I have included week four as I wanted to give an example of what the fitness station would look like when there wasn't a Personal Best Day being performed. The fitness station (station 1) utilized all the fitness components that Pangrazi recommended in Fitness Activities for Developmental Levels II and III (pages 271-278) from his book, Dynamic Physical Education. He states that the fitness exercises should include: (a)flexibility, (b) arm-shoulder girdle, (c) abdominal, (d) leg and agility, (e) trunk twisting. The routine should include six to ten activities while two should be for flexibility.

OK....I'm going to be pretty detailed explaining my management tools and procedures for the first few lessons on this unit. I will then include it as an appendix. I will put the lessons in outline format for the actual unit and if there is confusion you can go to the appendix for more detail. I'm working on the appendix first because I am detail oriented and that is how my head works. OK???
