I love basketball myself and I know how basketball can help build character, physical fitness and team work. I could definitely see something like this in your community. It helps keep me off of the streets and out of trouble. I would have proposed to put in a community center for all kids to come and play all kinds of different sports and activities but I still like your idea. I would give you money if you were to come up with a community sports and activity center. Also, you need insurance!! But other than that I really like your proposal.
This proposal is a great idea with real meaning behind it and I appreciate that. I have a few questions. You say you want to keep it open every day of the year, I was wondering if you you were going to shorten the hours on holidays. As much as I understand that some of the people might not have a place to go on the holidays, you also need to think about your staff. If you keep it open from 7-11 on Christmas or New Years it means your the staff that works will miss those entire days with their families.
Also, I was wondering if you were planning on putting in locker rooms. With so many people running around and sweating and bringing their belonging to the center you might want to consider having lockers and showers. I think it would be beneficial to the center.
