Kettlebells is a new type of exercise that I have been told can be very beneficial. I haven't used them or seen them, only heard about them. I looked online to see what they may look like but that is as far as it went. They range in expense from $14 range clear on up depending on how fancy and such you want to go.

The first website I went to gave me a little history of kettlebells, also had some exercise ideas and also happened to sell them. It was http://www.uskettlebells.com/. Kettlebells seemed to loose their popularity about 100 years ago per this website. They are gaining again though among weightlifters of all types.

The second I looked up was Wikipedia. I was interested what folks had to say on that website. It was last changed in October which I found interesting. I don't know enough about the site to know if there is a way I can find what was changed in October or not. This site talked about 2 gentleman that people who post to Wikipedia seem to thing are responsible for bringing the popularity of this piece of equipment back. Next I searched for specific websites that had kettlebell exercises. The first one that came up in my search was from bodybuilding.com. I have a couple of friends that are serious about their exercising and utilize this site. The site is http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/kettlebells.htm. From this site you can choose a muscle group or an exercise type or exercise name. I clicked on a couple just to see what the site had to offer and it was pretty extensive for me. It showed pictures of the movement, the main muscle and other muscles that are worked on, what equipment is needed, the mechanic type and any tips that they have for completing the exercise properly.

There are several websites out there that give you exercise ideas. My suggestion would be to look at these then do a search from a search engine on kettlebell exercises and find the site that works best for you. I even saw videos that would show you exactly how to do the exercise. As with anything though, you want to make sure it is from a reliable website or group so that you can trust the content won't do more harm then good. 

I will be talking to my friends to see if anyone has these that I can try as I don't think I want to go to the expense of purchasing my own until I know they will work for me. It definitely looks like it could add to my exercise routine though.
