However, for the best possible performance in the class, it is recommended to choose ONE of the following books (listed in order of importance):
Hoeger, W.W.K., & Hoeger, S.A. (2011). Lifetime Physical Fitness and Wellness (11th ed.). Brooks/Cole Pub. ISBN-13: 9780538737463. Note that this can be purchased as an electronic textbook. This is recommended, since you can purchase just the chapters used in the class. The 10th edition should also be fine.
