Goals

  1. Examine career goals and choose an appropriate academic track to achieve the goals.
  2. Understand the different sub-disciplines in physical activity and health.
  3. Pass the EOU fitness test battery at the 65th percentile, as required for all graduates in physical activity and health.
  4. Show proficiency finding, recognizing, and referencing appropriate scholarly information.
  5. Demonstrate competency in essential technology skills for professional success.
  6. Develop a personal plan by writing a mission statement, developing specific long- and short-term goals, compiling a vita and portfolio, outlining a degree plan, and identifying requirements for entrance to graduate schools.
  7. Manage time effectively and show proficiency working within multiple scholarly networking platforms.

Timeline

  • Weeks 1-9: Demonstrate engagement in content by presenting good quality scholarly work and feedback to others.
  • Weeks 1-2: Computer skills.
  • Weeks 2-5: Scholarly resources.
  • Week 5: Fitness Test Due
  • Weeks 5-6: Degree Planning, National Certifications, Entrance Exams, Graduate Schools.
  • Weeks 7-8: Personal Planning, Career Opportunities
  • Week 9: Pedagogy
  • Week 10: Exam (The exam closing date is the final day work may be presented for evaluation)
