Goals
- Know and demonstrate scientific-based principles for effective teaching of physical education.
- Analyze tactical and technical sport skills and provide appropriate feedback for skillful movement.
- Contribute quality lesson and curriculum planning that is developmentally appropriate and aligned with state and national standards.
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of and engagement in the content topics of the class (e.g. fundamental techniques and strategy, rules of play, scoring, accessing good resources for teaching).
- Provides evidence of effective instruction in the following aspects: communication, objectives, time-management, demonstrations, cues, explanations, class management, feedback, adaptability, social behavior, use of technology, and safety.
- Design appropriate assessment of sport skills and physical activity.
- Act as a professional by modeling physically educated and ethical behavior, collaborating with peers, and contributing to improving the profession.

Timeline
- Weeks 1-9: Demonstrate engagement in content by presenting good quality scholarly work and feedback to others.
- Weeks 1-5: Work related to topics for first exam.
- Weeks 3-4: Teaching
- Week 4: Exam 1
- Weeks 7-8: Teaching
- Week 8: Exam 2
- Weeks 6-10: Work related to all topics in class. Continued work on collaborative projects.
- The end of Week 10 is the final day work may be presented for consideration in grading.
