Different types of passes/shots (1 point each check)

  • Hook pass: guards ball with opposite shoulder and releases ball with straight arm high over the defender.
  • Shovel: Swings arm up from the thigh like a softball pitch.
  • Behind the shoulder: Ball is raised in front of the body and then rotating the ball back over the same shoulder. Uses wrist flick to add speed and guide the ball at the target.
  • Waist shot (wrist): Ball starts at waist and is delivered by pointing the elbow at the target and pronating the arm as it moves away from the body.
  • Reverse shot: Right handed player lunges with a crossover of the right foot (keeping the left as pivot). Throw is backhanded toward the goal with the right hand similar to a wrist pass.
